What a charming hotel

Stayed here for one night to visit the Christmas market. Upon arrival you almost step back in time. I felt I was in England. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. A great plus is that the window in our room could be opend. The large bed was really comfortable. At breakfast there is a large choice of items. Fresh bread and loads of lovely items to enjoy.

Well, I wasn't sure whether I would get an "old Charme" place, along with old facilities and design. I booked it because the standard price is already really good value for Dusseldorf and I kept walking past Windsor a lot of times and it looked promising. Well, it is very modern and clean on the inside WHILE still retaining an old world Charme. And at what a price (not to entice Windsor management to raise it... It is what makes staying here an absolute no brainer!!!!!!). Just loving it. Great room. Great staff (amazingly nice). Feels like home. Would stay here again in a heart beat. (.. and yes, right outside is the subway that takes you to Altstadt in a few minutes)....

Traditional-style hotel with friendly and very helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble. Very nice room with view onto rear courtyard. Bed was v comfy but creaked loudly almost every time you moved! Some noise from trains/teams but not intrusive. May be different in a room on the front...? Good breakfast (but you have to sit with other people at busy times). Very convenient for getting from airport (S-Bahn) and into town (3 tram stops to Altstadt / Königsallee). A very enjoyable stay and hope to come back!

This was our second visit to the Hotel Windsor, having last stayed in September 2017, which says it all really. It is quaint, absolutely spotless and the staff are very welcoming, despite my very limited German. It is perfect if you’re flying into Düsseldorf, as it is just the third stop on the S11 train line & then a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The tram stop is outside the hotel and it’s just another 3 stops into the Düsseldorf old town. The situation couldn’t be better if you are on a short break. If you want comfort and easy access to the town, then I would thoroughly recommend the Hotel Windsor.

I stayed in The Garden Room, a real treat. A huge room, it was light and airy, overlooking the garden. The staff are friendly but professional. Breakfast is wonderful with everything from fruit and yoghurt, cold meat, cheese, cereal, waffles, etc and at Easter even had dyed eggs in many colours.
